2.  How are the leaves attached to the stem?

3.  Are the leaves made up of several blades or leaflets (compound) or are they made up of a single blade?

4.  Are the leaves lobed? (Do the edges of the leaves have indentations and projections?)

5.  Describe the bark of the tree.

6.  Measure 1.5 meters up from the base of the tree and then use a measuring tape and measure the circumference of the tree.

7.  Collect a voucher specimen of the tree (1 small branch with multiple leaves on it).  Use masking tape and a permanent marker to "tag" the specimen with the tree ID#.  Also write the tree ID# on the back of two of the leaves.
